Retirement from the Friends for Beryl

One of our wonderful Trustees retired from the Friends at the Trustees meeting on 23rd July. Beryl Davies has been a Trustee and a Volunteer for more years than even she cares to remember. A presentation of a bouquet of flowers was made to Beryl. She is also retiring as a Volunteer from the Friends of St Mary's Shop/Cafe Ltd to move to the mainland. Beryl has been running the Laidlaw cafe outlet for many years and I know she will greatly missed there. A toast was made to Beryl and all enjoyed some cake. She will be missed by all at the Friends. Lesley Myland (Chairman) stated that the Board of Trustees would like to give a big heartfelt thank you to Beryl for her service to the Friends over the many years that she has been with us. She has been a valued member of the team, both as a Trustee and as a volunteer and it is sad to say farewell, but wish her and all her family all the best for the future.
