FRIENDS FUND SLIMMER AND LIGHTER PHLEBOTOMY TROLLEYS
Six phlebotomy trolleys have been purchased by the Friends for £3,686. The trolleys are slimmer and lighter than the present ones, which are harder to push and manoeuvre. Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood from patients and taking blood specimens to the laboratory to prepare for testing. Apart from well over 200 patients a day in the clinic, the trolleys deal with some 100 patients across 12 wards.
