Jackie enjoyed her Royal Time in London

I had the pleasure of meeting this lady at the Friends Christmas party this December and could not resist adding this post from a 2015 newsletter. What an amazing Lady.

She was put forward by the Friends for the honour to the Island’s Lord Lieutenant, Major General Martin White, in recognition of over 25 years as a regular volunteer in the shop. “It was a wonderful and most memo-rable day,” she said. “And the weather was perfect.“ A former Londoner, Jackie was keen to renew her acquaintance with the big city, staying two nights in a hotel and ‘walking off her feet’ to see the sights.
